A spacious chapel-adorned with stained glass windows- provides a peaceful space
for community and guests to gather for communal and private  prayer.

The original Baldachino altar , finished in ivory, is surmounted by a life size  statue representing
the Sacred Heart, patron of the Benedictine Sisters.

Benedictine spirituality is expressed and shaped by PRAYER which includes fidelity to:
  • Daily celebration of the Liturgy of the Hours (official prayer of the Church)

Morning Prayer (Lauds) at 7:00 a.m.
Evening Prayer (Vespers) at 4:45 p.m.

  • Daily celebration of the Eucharist

    Weekdays at 11:30 a.m.
    Sundays at 10 a.m.

  • Fidelity to Lectio Divina (prayerful reflection on Scripture)

Monastics should establish a balance between prayer and work, create the leisure necessary for Lectio Divina for prayer alone or together , allowing for a diversity of traditional and contemporary devotions and prayer forms

  • Prayer Ministry

While our prayer always includes  universal  intentions of the Church, we, as Benedictines, have a specific
PRAYER MINISTRY for those who would like to share in the SPIRITUAL BENEFITS OF THE DIVINE OFFICE at the request of a friend. Would you like to have a remembrance card sent to a loved one? Click here...

Other Forms of Prayer

  • Taize Prayer Service

Third Friday of the month at 7:30 p.m.
